My windows are a custom size and the original manufacturer no longer makes them. What are my options?

This is normal on Minnetrista custom builds. We measure the existing opening and have the insulated glass unit made to that measurement, then fit it into your existing sash. The window keeps its original appearance and you avoid replacing a custom frame that has nothing wrong with it.

Do you handle very large or shaped glass?

Yes. Arched, trapezoidal and oversized units are made to measure from a site template. They take longer to source than a rectangular unit, so we template early and schedule the install once the glass has arrived.

Why do the lake-facing windows fail before the rest?

More sun and more wind. The lake elevation gets a bigger daily temperature swing and takes wind-driven rain straight off open water, so both the sealed glass edge and the exterior perimeter seal work harder there than on the sheltered side of the house.
